LONDON

Can I just say I have an awesome understanding husband? He bought me a trip to London for my birthday. Well, I did the research and he let me go. It was pretty cool. There are a couple people that I hang out with that have a birthday right around mine, so we decided that it would be fun to take a trip. I am the only one that has kids at the moment, so we planned our trip for Ethan's days off. He watched the kids for 3 days while I went and had a blast. We saw all the fun sites and went to fun restaurants. I had real fish and chips. It was so much fun. The highlight of the trip was when we went to see Wicked. It was an AMAZING show. It is my new favorite. I didn't think anything would ever replace Guys and Dolls. I have never seen professionals do Guys and Dolls, but it was my favorite screen play. Wicked has now taken its place. The girl that played Alfaba (also known as The Wicked Witch of the West) had an amazing range in her voice. I couldn't believe it. Anyway, enough about the show. We had so much fun. We even went to a fancy dinner before the show. It was such an experience, and I have now decided that sometime in my life I want to live near Portobello Road. It was so much fun. Oh, and I HATED Harrods. It was the most confusing store I have ever been in. Maybe I was just tired. We had been walking around all day, and we were carrying our backpacks. I will have to go back again when the situation is better.

P.S. Don't try and take snow globes on a plane. They are liquid. Dumb me. I didn't even think of that when I was buying them. I ended up having to check my bag. Not cheap when you are flying on a no frills airline. Checking my bag cost more than my round trip ticket.

PANCAKE MIX MESS

So Ethan and I were making dinner yesterday, and both the kids were in and out of the kitchen. After a while, I noticed I hadn't seen the kids in a while and it was really quiet. We went into the living room, and found a BIG mess. Chase had taken the pancake mix out of the cupboard when we were not looking. He decided that he was going to make it more fun to drive his trucks in the living room. When we walked in there was pancake mix everywhere. It seemed like most of it was on Madison. She loved it and was eating it as fast as she could get her little fist into her mouth. I realized when I was looking at these pictures, that I didn't get a good one of the overall scene. You will just have to imagine it. I love my kids :)

WOOPS...PAY MORE ATTENTION

Chase has not been taking naps lately, so he is tired earlier at night. I usually put him to bed around 7:30, but tonight I was trying to push it until 8 so I could finish updating my blog before I put him to bed. I guess that extra half hour can really make a difference. He was climbing all over me, and I told him to give me 5 more minutes. That is when he crawled under the computer desk. 5 minutes later, I found this. What a tired boy.

MADISON

Maddi was in such a good mood, so she was just waving at everything

She is already a big helper

She is starting to eat whatever we eat. She loves spaghetti. What you can't see, is that she ate all her green beans before she would even touch her spaghetti. That made me so proud. My little vegetable eater.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Madison was a bumble bee for Halloween. I made the headband. I am pretty proud of how well it turned out.

Chase was a motorcycle rider for Halloween. I knew he wouldn't want to keep his hat thing (I don't think hat is the right word, but I really don't know what else to call it) on, so we gave him a mohawk. It turned out that I liked the mohawk more than the hat. I thought he looked so tough.

While we were at the party, Chase found a pipe. It really added to his costume. I wish I would have gotten some better pictures while he was playing with it.

I didn't really see any point on having Madison trick-or-treat, so Ethan and I followed chase around while pushing Maddi in the stroller. Chase loved trick-or-treating. Although he was a little hard to understand. It came out sounding a little more like Christmas Tree.
